AUSTRALIAN AMBASSADOR IN MARIE STOPES BIRATNAGAR
On September 2, 2016, we had an opportunity to have His Excellency, Mr. Glenn White, Australian Ambassador to Nepal at our Marie Stopes Youth-Friendly Service Center Biratnagar. His Excellency Mr. HE Glenn White, who arrived for a special visit, highly praised the center, which provides Youth-Friendly Sexual and Reproductive Health services to young people. His Excellency also appreciated our youth pop-up volunteers for reaching out young people with SRHR, especially family planning awareness to young people in communities, schools/colleges. He was impressed to be informed about our youth pop-up and service providers being trained on providing SRHR services of people with disability.
>Marie Stopes Youth-Friendly Service Center Biratnagar has been providing Youth Friendly Sexual Reproductive Health, Family Planning and Safe Abortion services with privacy and confidentiality. The service providers are highly trained on youth-friendly SRHR.
Our pop-up volunteers based in Biratnagar conduct Sexual & Reproductive Health and family planning awareness session in Morang district. They have been conducting youth focused awareness program since 2014 and have reached more than 23,424 youths in different parts of Morang district from July 2014 to June 2016.
