World Contraceptive Day-2015
“Well. I am ambitious and education is what I should concentrate on. Therefore, I do not mind carrying condom with me always.”
On the occasion of World Contraceptive Day, 26th Sept 2015 Rockets & Space organized a facebook event where young people (15-24) years. We had asked young people to post their selfie or a picture holding the message “Contraceptives is important for me because……………………….” The message should be clear and meaningful. More than 50 young people participated in the event and posted their pictures in our timeline. Even young people outside of Nepal also participated. We then selected winners and distributed prize through our youth center- Marie Stopes Centre Putalisadak.
The main objective of the event is to engage young people to openly discuss about the importance of contraceptives in their life. This showed that the young people were not hesitate to talk about contraceptives and post their pictures in social media. This emphasized social media is the best place where we can interact with young people and provide them information on their sexual and reproductive health.
