National Youth Conference
National Youth Conference 2016, Royal Events, Tinkune, August 10-12, 2016: Sunaulo Parivar Nepal/Marie Stopes Nepal in partnership with National Youth Council organized the ‘National Youth Conference 2016’ with the main theme- ‘Youths on Global Leadership’. 150 youths from 72 districts were part of the 3 days long conference that was organized in Kathmandu. Satyajit Pradhan, Director-Marketing and Communications and Nilima Raut, Youth Project Manager conducted a session on ‘Youth Sexual Reproductive Health, Family Planning and legality of Safe abortion’.
Satyajit Pradhan, presented the “Youth and Contraceptive” context in Nepal and described how Marie Stopes Nepal is bridging the gap between Youths and Youth-Friendly Sexual Reproductive Health Services. The core message was on role of contraceptive in career. He also highlighted all the youth-friendly service channels that is reaching youths with information on Sexual Reproductive Health, Family Planning and Safe Abortion.
Nilima Raut, highlighted youth’s response to our program and service channels where we provide service with privacy and confidentiality. Pop-Up volunteers also shared their experience working in the field of Sexual Reproductive Health. Participant’s queries were mostly on how we are reaching youths in rural areas.
